During the first month of the campaign there was collected information on the state of children tourism development in Odessa, selected a team of volunteers, conducted a training of future trainers.
According to the experts, child tourism in Odessa is almost dead. Only a small group of enthusiasts continues to organize tourist camps for children, despite the lack of funding, headache with various instances and insufficient attention to the kind of recreation for children by parents.
Campaign organizers decided this summer to hold two children\\\'s camps. One at the reserved Tataru island on the Danube river (July 27 - August 5), another - in the natural park Liski, on the beach, near Odessa (26-30 August).
Both camps will be held as a tourist expedition: children themselves will set up a camp, stay organized, prepare food. Of course, under supervision of adults, but it is still, for many will be the first experience of independence.
The cost of one day in the camp is rather small - 80 UAH, which includes three meals and travel equipment rental and all other organizational costs. However, we found an opportunity through participation of volunteers and sponsors to make the cost of staying in a camp for children from needy families up to 75 percent cheaper. It will be children from large, incomplete and needy families. Participation of these children - is the priority of the public campaign. No wonder it its name is - "Summer - for all" - said at a press conference the campaign coordinator Oleksii Chornyy.
