UYPO Democratic Alliance together with Hanns Seidel Foundation in Ukraine continues to realize ideas on conduction of civil campaigns on solving the problems of Ukrainian society.

The next event of Youth civil activization campaign “Ukraine, which we build” was held last weekends. For several months since the first training seminar, which was held in December 2009, the participants have been working out the project which they would like to conduct in their cities. Thus, the participants of the first group, from Chernihiv and Cherkassy, decided to pay their attention to struggle against smoking and alcohol.

During two days the participants got all the needed knowledge for planning Civil advocacy campaigns and also worked up the instruments for their realization. Namely: citizens’ appeals, street protest actions, cooperation with mass-media.

For the better understanding of the problem, which the participants chose for their campaign, Hanna Gopko, coordinator of the campaign “Future without smoking” was invited to the event as an expert.
