The admission to the International project “Academy of Political Education “Let’s go together!” was announced.

The project, which will be carried out in Ukraine by All-Ukrainian Youth Public Organization “Democratic Alliance” in cooperation with partners from Sweden for 2 years, is aimed at the increase of the number of qualified young people who are ready to take the responsibility for democratic and crisis-free development of Ukraine.

About 120 people will study in the Academy of Political Education “Let’s go together” and they will be able to improve their theoretical and practical knowledge which will help them to increase their help in state formation of our country.

The participants will take part in roundtable discussions, seminars, scientific researches; publish debate articles and they will also realize practical tasks.

Ukrainian and foreign experts will lecture at the academy.

The events of the projects will take place in Mykolaiv, Zhytomyr, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, Odessa, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Chernihiv, Ivano-Frankivs’k and Vinnitsa during the year 2010.

 

Details of the project

I. Aim of the project: to increase the number of qualified young people who are ready to take the responsibility for democratic and crisis-free development of Ukraine.

II. Study Program:

The program foresees participation in roundtable discussions, seminars, scientific researches, publishing debate articles and realization of practical tasks.

  1. Two-days seminars:

“Building up democracy”

“Modern political ideologies”

“Christian-democratic movement, its origin and development”

“Christian democracy, Ukrainian dimension”

 

  1. Scientific researches:

“Mechanisms of public interests protection”

“Subsidiary and Ukrainian administrative reform”

“Ways of youth participation in state formation”

 

  1. Roundtable discussions:

“Subsidiary and local self-government”

“Public interests protection in Ukrainian policy”

“Youth participation in state formation”

 

  1. Debate articles on burning issues of Ukrainian society development.
  2. Practical tasks:

-   Working out and conducting  political actions

-  Writing appeals to authorities

Conducting fundraising campaigns

-  Cooperation with mass-media

Writing out and realizing projects

-   other

 

III. Participation in the project

Organizers provide accommodation, catering and partly travel reimbursement.

Every participant has to pay participation fee – 100 UAH.

 

IV. Conditions of participation

To participate in the project the candidate has to:

- live in Ukraine at least during last year

- be 18-25 years old

- take the responsibility to participate in, at least, four seminars of the project

- fill in the application form and send it with other application documents to the Organization committee dem.alliance@gmail.com before deadline March, 10.
