A performance of the Democratic Alliance «Is Kharkiv a city of golden youth?» took place in the Freedom Square in Kharkiv.
The action was held within the framework of the first wave of regional performances «Pathos-politicus or pathologies of Ukrainian establishment» attributed to the national youth protest campaign “Theatre of Political Drama”.
The event was deliberately designed to make the public aware of irresponsible behaviour of Ukrainian politicians and their complete indifference towards the citizens’ interests.
Main characters were two girls – “Kharkivska” and “Authority” and college entrants.
During the dénouement of the action students, who were shocked by extremely high prices in the Old Capital, were pelting “Authority” and Members of the City Council with seeds, coins and toilet paper, advocating the notion that Kharkiv is a city of students but not that of the golden youth. The action was traditionally concluded with an appeal addressed to politicians to serve the people of Ukraine.
“We – conscientious young people – do not want to live in a society where the only thing that interests the politicians is their personal promotion. It seems like they do not even think about the interests of the nation. This kind of elite cannot possibly be a worthy role model for the young! We want all politicians – representatives of all levels of government – to be responsible and provide a coherent and harmonious development of the country” – commented the organisers of the event.

A national youth protest campaign “Theatre of Political Drama” set off in May, 2008, in Kyiv and in most regions of the country.
A focal point of the campaign is the incapability of Ukrainian political management to provide harmonious and stable development of our state.
Within the framework of the “Theatre...” the Democratic Alliance is planning to organisize 50 theatrical performances in the city squares of Ukraine during June-December, 2008.

Democratic Alliance announces the first wave of regional actions «Pathos-politicus or pathology of Ukrainian establishment», which encompasses 10 performances in Kyiv and regional counties held during August and dedicated to political irresponsibility.

Democratic Alliance conducted a performance «Land market» in Luhansk.
August, 11:
Democratic Alliance conducted three political performances – «Ekostrofa.dn.ua» in Donetsk, «Inspector» in Dnipropetrovsk, «Pathos-politicus» or «What are Ukrainian politicians really about?» in Odessa.
August, 12:
Democratic Alliance conducted two political performances – «Sleep of the nation» in Zhitomir and «Pathos-politicus» in Zaporizhia.
August, 13:
